About Dr. Chandraprakasam
Dr. Satish Chandraprakasam completed his undergrad medical training from the prestigious Stanley Medical College, which is among the top 25 premier medical institutions in India. After his medical school, he went on complete his post grad residency training in Internal Medicine from Madurai Medical College, India.

Fascinated by the intricacies of cardiovascular medicine, he worked as a Cardiology Registrar at Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Madras Medical Mission. He then moved to the States to complete his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital, St Louis where he also served as the chief resident. He did his cardiovascular medicine fellowship from Creighton University, Omaha where he served as the chief cardiovascular Fellow and then went on to complete his interventional cardiology fellowship where he received comprehensive training in coronary, peripheral/endovascular and structural heart interventions. He had the distinction of being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society for his contributions to medicine. During his training, he published and presented several research papers in peer reviewed journals and national meetings.

He chose cardiovascular medicine as he has the opportunity to save his patients from life threatening conditions and see them get better right away.
